Well..... no but Lord David Steel QC PC KT has never had any connection with Keele not even an honourary degree. This David Steel's position as last on the listed authors of these academic works would suggest that he was the junior writer possibly a research fellow which judging by these dates may put him as a contemporary of the band, possibly even a friend of theirs at the time an undergraduate at Keele. I'm trying to dig up more on this David Steel.

I don't think 'having an association with Keele' is the objective of the song.
'Rhyming with Keele' would be more like it.

Absolutely Master B just having found a Z list David Steel with connections with Keele has an added benefit. Keep the Rt Hon in there. But also mention the other DS.
