Er, can I have fries with that? Started conversation May 31, 2000
Hi there,
I just came back from holiday in Cornwall and I think it is about time to have a guide to that wonderful place. Really, I loved it. That's why I would suggest to include in the beaches Chapter the beach at Gwithian Towans, which is really beautiful and not at all overcrowded. Actually you can walk from Godvrey Point all the way to Hayle (1-2 hs)or even to St. Ives if you get across the Hayle river.
Secondly however I would love to warn everybody who doesn't live there to drive on any road that is not considered A (like A30). very narrow, curves like a snake's body and in addition you find huge hedges on both sides of the road that are actually higher than most cars, meaning, you don't see a thing especially not oncoming traffic until you hit it Plus the locals like to ride these roads at at least 60 mph.
But as you said: Walking is fantastic - try the Coastal Path!!!!
Cheers
