We're comfortably into four dots in PR now, and the queue at ComingUp is looking much more cheerful. There also seems to be a healthy number of new/lapsed Researchers in there taking tentative steps back in. Great work, chaps!
We need to make sure this is a long-term plan, though, so please don't let up in your efforts. It would be a huge shame to start losing the enthusiasm of writers because of a lack of reviews, so we really do need to keep commenting as much as possible.
Finally, most people who signed up for 'as and when' have written Entries in the last week or so - if any of you feel you could commit to one a month after all, I'd love to hear from you
Now all I need is a smiley....

Great work you.
I'm trying hard to comment on a couple in PR every evening ... it takes me a while to read through the new things, and if there's some healthy reviewing going on I tend not to interrupt, but so far I think I'm keeping to the promise ....
I'd be interested to hear how others are getting on ... and for any advice how to make the most of my time online .... other than to stop the stoopid convos.

And well done you!
Well, I think it's useful to look at Entries that haven't been commented on for a while by sorting them in order of oldest last comment:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/classic/RF1?skip=0&show=25&order=lastposted&entry=0&dir=1#Guide%20Entries
That way, it's easy to see all the greta Entries that haven't attracted much in the way of comments

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Nov 22, 2007
I've got an entirely free weekend which I can use to write an entry that I've been planning in my head for a while, so I'm not planning on letting up any time soon.

Only me voicing a little concern .....
PR still looks on the up with four dots.
The <./>comingup</.> page is a little lop-sided though ...
There are 23 entries that have been selected by Scouts.
There are 32 in the queue for the FP ... alright one has already been there and another has been deleted by the author, but that's still a healthyish 30 in the queue.
However, there are only 5 ... yes that's 5 entries with Sub-Eds and that is kinda a worry because most, if not all of them, have been there for weeks.
Even allowing for Christmas and I know it's more of a specialist thing, but would it help if there was a similar campaign for Sub-Eds as there was for writers and Scouts.
Just a thought.

You're right of course, Fizzy, but I think it's more important to get Entries into the queue in the first place; the Eds will often step in and take in Entries to sub in-house, but that can't do that with the writing! 30 is much better, but it's still only a fortnight's worth. I think it would help, though, if the volunteer pages said they were actually recruiting. I think we could do with more Scouts and Subs, but unless you know to ignore that bit of the page, you won't volunteer

It's a bit better now than it was a few days ago, but subbing is still taking quite a while, I don't know anyone who could do it that isn't already .... I think.
I got back into the Scouts, but not the forum for some reason.
I got the impression the Scouts were pretty well back to norm .... but maybe not.
I believe the tower has been hit with a bout of flu, so that maybe the cause of some of the current problems.
Still, I daresay that's us well winding down for the holiday period, I know I'm not in the notion to do any more writing this month.
