A Conversation for Talking Point: Forgotten Movies

Pitch Black

This was a movie featuring Claudia Black (Farscape) and Vin Diesel (XXX). I thought it was an intelligent sci-fi/emotional thriller with good twists in character development and convincing science. It is the picture that introduced Riddick (Vin Diesel) who is the main character in the Chronicles of Riddick. I have enjoyed Vin's work and plan to see his new movie because he is such a *Hottie* (yes, i am a guy. no, i'm not gay, he's just a good looking guy.)

The reason I saw the movie in the first place is because Claudia is a Super-Hottie, and I liked her work in Farscape (A Jim Henson project). I have a thing for strong women. She was a Peacekeeper turned good guy (well sort of, she was technically a fugitive!)

Now I'm just overcompensating for the gay thing, go metrosexuals!!
(oops, that was supposed to be an H not M.)

I think a movie which has just spawned a huge sequel can hardly be classified as 'forgotten'. Little-seen, maybe. And it *was* a good movie.

yeah, i think you're right Vin should be better appreciated for his acting skills and intelligence, and not just for his looks. I also agree that the movie probably could have been cut down to an hour and a half, or maybe had Claudia doing a musical number, but that may not have fit the character. As far as the sleep thing, drink more soda, it's only $5.00 a cup, and you get the ice for free.
