I recently voluteered to help run a charity shop fot the children affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
After working there for some months I started to hear about the children that were being brought here for "respite"
None of these had any life threatening illness , They all came from the richest families in the Ukraine , Their main ambition was to get a mobile phone !
Needless to say I did not work there very much longer.
I do not doubt that there are children there who still suffer but I will be a lot more careful in future where I put my time, money and care
