The Story of Les Bleus (part 1)
[to the tune of Te Story of The Blues
part 1 by Wah]

Out there in Portugal it's

The story of Les Bleus

A goal from Frank Lampard

We thought 'back page news'

I still look back to

David Beckham's penalty

Keep thinking of Barthez

That save's part of

The story of Les Bleus

First they go behind

But get inside your mind

And they realise

That they can't afford to lose

So try to defend

It's how to beat the French

But then Zidane scores and that’s

The Story of Les Bleus

Almost every game they score

A goal and then one more

I think it's over

And then Zidane wins this war

They son forget it

Draw with the Croatians

And the Swiss can't worry them

With clockwork patience

That's the story of Les Bleus

First they go behind

But get inside your mind

And they realise

That they can't afford to lose

So try to defend

It's how to stop the French

Then Zidane scores, I'm telling

The story of Les Bleus

So then they face the Greeks

Been in Portugal for weeks

Go behind again

Got everything to lose

The Greeks, they CAN defend

And so they beat the French

So it's all over, that's

The story of Les Bleus

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
