SRG Things to Do (Besides Drinking!)

Do you lot ever stop partying? - Abi
Nope! - The Scottish Researchers Group
Amber Nectar
It has been suggested that we try to do something other than go to the pub for our [very] regular meets. A further discussion clarified that statement, and it was decided that we should do something before going to the pub!
This has been attempted before but always ended in dismal failure. A bowling outing has seen the SRG visit Megabowl, only to hit the bar and play some pool before heading off to another licensed premises.
We discovered early on that if we pretended to arrange some arty farty event prior to the the supposed evening drinking session, then groups elsewhere would feel obliged to do the same. It doesn't matter that our event nearly always gets cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (no one can walk), it's the thought of other groups having to traipse round the local lottery-funded Museum of Earwax in response that means we have to suggest some ludicrous kultchirral thingy.
- Wumbeevil shares some wise words with us on the topic of meets!
So here we have it - the ideas for things to do page. A rather optimistic page, set up to remind us of things that one/some/all of us has actually said we would like to do at some point. But fear not fellow SRG members... we can still go to the pub afterwards.
If you would like to add a suggestion - sorry a SENSIBLE suggestion, then add it in this thread.
