Flashlights

A friend of mine had just bought a high-power flashlight to the Maldives, and used it on one or two successful dives. The next morning, he placed it in a bucket of water and left it switched on so that it would discharge fully.
Sadly, the cleaner popped round, took the torch out of the water, chucked the water away and placed the torch on one side.
There was a nasty smell of molten plastic when he returned to his room...

LOL! The electricity in my house was down for a night, and the only source of light I had was my diving flashlight. It does an admirable job of lighting up a room for such a small light, but I was leery of burning it up, so it saw only limited use. But when I was working in the kitchen or taking a shower, I simply stood it up in the sink, and ran the cold water over it, and I could take my time.
