Hi all,

I'm new at this so please bear with me. I am currently reading a book on ancient Egypt and the author mentions palm beer. In his mention he refers to palm beer as being "Three palm or five palm quality." Can anyone tell me whether or not this is a rating system or a ingredient measurement. And how either system is used. This is one of those things that drives you nuts until you find the answer.
