A Conversation for Guns

Tricky one this, I used to be a member of a gun club till recently.
Having owned a Kalashnikov AK47, S&W .44 Magnom, .357 Magnum etc, I must admit that I was guilty of shooting thousands of pieces of cardboard. Now my guns are gone as have most members of this fine club. Interestingly, now that our guns have gone and been smelted down, the sreets are safe to walk in.
So how come the recorded use of firearms in various crimes is going up at an alarming rate?
Ex cardboard murderer.

KILL! KILL THEM ALL!! AAAHAHAHAHAH!
Actually, old son, the gun ban was a typical knee jerk reaction because our fine Police Force had screwed up again, and Something Had To Be Done! Now only the CRIMINALS have guns, and Britain is far safer for it...
