Since being a young child I have always been puzzled by an odd phenomena - when watching tv and eating sweets / toffee I would swear blind that occaisionaly when crunching them, the `crack` and `crunch` noise of the sweets breaking would seem to be accompanied by static lines on the tv. It didn`t happen everytime - usually just the first big crunch.
When I questioned people as to whether they had seen the same thing they generally thought I was mad.
This triboluminescence may be the solution !!!
