We've also got loads of plastic forks, paper plates, and napkin type things left over from our big BBQ, so I can bring those down too

Of course!!!!!! As to the plaes and things; I think soeone else was already bringing some; you might want to check the list, see who it was and ask them about it...

I'll be bringing some paper plates..but a few more won't go amiss i'm sure ,and i forgot to get the plastic knives etc 
so they'll be great too!
