I guess Anita was the kind of person who wouldn't have insisted on people calling her Dame (but I don't know for sure). Would we include it in the title if this were the case?

The quotes should be in blockquotes, I think.

I had no idea L'oreal had taken over - is there any company left which doesn't belong to Nestlé (because L'Oreal belongs to Nestlé from what I know)?

I don't think the NHS belongs to Nestle yet...but I might be wrong.

Right I've addressed Lil's comment, removed the chemical sentence. Still unsure what to do with the Dame bit Icy mentioned and whether it is necessary for everything to be put in blockquotes.

I recall being able to tour the Body Shop factory near Brighton in 1998, not sure if they still do that. You could sample the wares and then go to the Gift Shop afterwards...

The tour was actually quite enlightening, and if you like it was perhaps a little like going into Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Except it was the Body Shop. But there WAS chocolate.

There was, even then, an emphasis on recycling, fair trade and eco-friendliness.

Or perhaps it was near Portsmouth, not Brighton? I can't rightly recall. I toured much of the south of England in '98 and that's nearly 10 years ago...
