I told you I'd make an effort to leave a comment here.
I really love what you've written so far, and am looking forward to the next one. Nearly two weeks in suspense because I don't know whether you walked back or took the bus. If public transport on New Jersey isn't spectacular, I really hope you walked back.

Crikey, you can't go about mistaking Jersey for New Jersey round these parts. There are people on this little island who would campaign to bring back the death penalty for crimes such as mistaking one of the British Isles for a US state! And a glass of is no excuse.
As for whether I caught the bus. That will have come down to how good I am at Bus Stop Pontoon.
Glad you're enjoying reading. I'm enjoying writing.

Blimey, just a small lapse and the islanders would have me crucified?
I really haven't a clue how that 'new' slipped in there, but it did. Mea maxima culpa.
I'll make sure it won't happen again.

For maximum effect, you could ask a Jersey resident if they have electricity and cars, or whether there is truth in the rumours about everyone on the island walking around barefoot.
I've read that asking if they have a Post Office seems to get some of them riled too. Not sure why though.
Must be careful what I say. One of the 88 residents might be reading.

You're not talking about Canada perchance?
Rumours have it that they still live in igloos there and are quite behind modern development.
*Makes mental note never to ask if there is a Post Office on Jersey*
Do they have a Post Office?
Key: Complain about this post
