Another thing, if Dad answers the phone, to either son or daughter, it immediately gets passed to Mum!!!

Us dads are like that, I don't know why. I can go on and on with total strangers yet get completely tounge-tied with my own kids.
One of lifes great tragedies.

WEll at least you admit it I wonder why though? My other half is the same, except he doesn't 'do' phones with anyone unless forced to! Shortest calls on record are his!!
Apparently I talk enough for two anyway

Men are visual creatures. We get much more information watching faces and body clues than from any words. On a telephone, we are at a disadvantage so we prefer to say as little as possible. I would rather get in my car and go twenty miles than pick up the phone.

When I receive a phone call saying: "Mum, I'm okay, but...."
That is when Hubby gets the phone shoved at him. I can't listen!
