A Conversation for On The Legalisation Of Brothels

legalization or decriminalization

I worked in an illegal brothel in California for 2 years, and was arrested twice, for a victimless "crime". At the time I could not figure how I could be punished for such a thing.I then wished that it should be legal to exchange sexual favors for money. Then after speaking with some girls who haved worked in legal brothels in Nevada, I changed my point of view.

It seems, when they legalize prostitution ( at least in the usa ) the goverment charges these girls insane amounts of taxes, for thier hard earned money. In addition to that, the girls are subjected to constant tests for venereal diseases, even though sex workers use protection ( condoms) far more then someone you might pick up at a bar, and have sex with for free. At the places I've worked, the women don't even KISS on the mouth. Because of these strict testing guidlines, the girls are basically prisoners at the brothel, for the
time they work, because any coming or going would mean more testing,
and waiting for the results.

With this information, I've concluded that decriminalization, not legalization is the better option.
