Tipping

Post 1

Hi, I liked your entry with only one point to make. In a lot of pubs in the north of england it is customary to tip. Normally (in my experience) accompanied by the phrase "...and your own" which will result in the barman/maid taking a nominal amount (usually 20p or 50p) and putting it in the tip jar next to the till. As it is a common practice the tip jar gets quite full and the staff divvy it up at the end of the night.
Like I say, I like the entry but thought I'd point this out.
thanks
