http://www.badart.com would certainly come under the banner of humour since one winds up laughing so hard, but it's also thought-provoking. The site is owned by an entity with bona fide art critic credentials and there are links to many other sites that specialise in "thrift art."

How about http://www.darwinawards.com ? It awards people who have inproved the human gene pool by removing themselves from it!

Ummm, that sounds a lot like caption this at the official mst3k website. http://www.mst3k.com

on the left side bar one of the links says caption this.

It's along the same lines, yeah, but not exactly the same... IADL select and archive the best captions that people submit, and I'm not sure if that's going on at the site you mention...

well they are pretty different. The one you spoke of is a bit more like a long running contest. The mst3k one is more of a way to kill time and have some quick fun. It is also based on a live feed to the scifi channel and so you get many more images than the other site. I think they co-exist together fine. If you want spur of the moment fun then I'd suggest the mst3k one but if you want something polished than the IADL looks good.

Thanks for submitting this page, unfortunately I am just coming up to my MA exams and so I have been unable to do anything very much with it yet but I am looking forward to visiting the site and updating The Best Websites in the World in three weeks time!
