Vip's Random Leeds Meet

2 Conversations

Saturday 1st December 2007

Following on from the success of the Rhubarb Meander I thought I'd try again on a slightly different tack.

Three aliens getting to know one anotherThree glassses of beer

There may be some of you who remember ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha, or are even a part of it. Now, I am wanting to try and keep the society alive, and I can't think of a better way than trying to get the members together in real life. Admittedly only one person has two people have contacted me so far, but I'm hoping that if I actually have an event happening people might make the effort to join it.

So, how about a joint meet? Let's face it, a meet with hootooers is always a lot of fun. smiley - What self-respecting smiley - could resist the opportunity to meet with you guys?

I have to pick a date so I can get it into the next issue of the magazine (issued in mid-October), and the date that I have come up with is Saturday the 1st of December.

Unless anyone has any objections, I am going to suggest that we meet in The Scarborough Hotel (which is directly opposite the train station) at one o'clock. At around two we'll finish our pints and head to the Royal Armories for an afternoon of refined - and free - entertainment.

After we finish, I suggest heading to The Angel pub in City centre, arriving no later than seven so anyone not wishing to be entertained in a refined manner* can join us for beer and merriment. As usual I'm sure there'll be a contingent who will be content to sit in the pub as opposed to heading out to be cultured 'n' stuff.

The next question is, of course, can anyone come?
