h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've talked to Sam about your entry. We love the first paragraph, it's absolutely true, there just isn't a bad sunset in the world is there.

There are a couple of things you could add. You'd have to do a bit of research on it..

What is a sunset? Light being refracted through the earth's atmosphere? Can you do a paragraph explaining the phenomenon...

In some parts of the world are famous for their particularly good sunsets. Africa and New England are two that come to mind. Whereas Northern Finland doesn't get *any* for 6 months of the year. Can you think of any more places that have great sunsets.

It's a really good first effort, and a good subject. Good luck with it and thank you for writing for the Guide. We appreciate it...

Well, Righty ho then, I've taken on board your comments and I can see how that would work really nicely. Thank you for taking the time to review it. I'll do that research, learn some guide ml stick some pictures in and I'll get it in. Thanks again --- AdoAAC

I'm fond of the sunsets along the Gulf Coast of Florida. And if you're really lucky, just as the sun is dipping below the horizon, you can see a flash of green at the top of the sun (something to do with oxygen and sunlight I think).

You could probably do a second page on the where the 'World's Best Sunsets' are located and why. The h2g2 Post is looking for compilation pages like that and I'm sure you'd get dozens of people visiting with their favourite sunsets!
