[Ecg Unagi]: *clears his throat*
"Who said I wasn't calm..."
~It isn't the battle or the orcs that I am nervous about,- it is the vague threat of expulsion from society (here).~
"Something that always looms over my head, no matter where I go or decide to live, ? So is it okay for me to head off to Kalsho yet?"

"In fact, I think I'll try something new I've been meaning to work on, anyway..."
*Using ground magic, Ecg creates two gollums out of tar, pitch, peat and mud.*
"There. Now, if you'll excuse me..."
*returns some moments later with some sticks and a few short branches off an old snagged tree. Sticks them into each of the gollums at various points*
"Now, since my fire magic isn't (excuse me for the play on words here) up to snuff... I thought why not try something-"
*the gollums take up the branches and twigs into their body composition. Each is holding a stick that is also attached to its hand.*
"Like living torches, yes? When it comes time, I just have to ignite the branches and," *snaps fingers (to illustrate point)* "flaming-golems."
*He has the gollums look at him then towards the horizon and nod.*

"I don't know, Ecg. That is a very dangerous gamble. What if it doesn't work?" Jake, aka Kylen, asks, sheathing his weaponry. "I say a good old Dragon Fire spell or Fire Missile will do. Of course, those are my personal favorite Fire Spells. It helps that I own a Blazing Malchalite gladius. The thing is made out of a type of rock that is very hot, and has torch like ablities. It's an heirloom from my dad...before he died. I was trained in hand-and-a-half blades and offhand weapons, but I do perfer elements at times."

[Ecg]: "But, they are flammable enough, aren't they?"
~Besides, it can't hurt to have some extra help, could it?~

"the wooden parts, yes, but the mud isn't!" Jake says, pointing out the one major flaw in the design.
Front Gate
Thorn Posted Jan 6, 2006
"Well, yes... granted that the mud isn't (),- which is exactly why I have used mud made up of a mixture [of] peat, tar and pitch added-in."
~The gollums might stink a bit while burning though... Oops.~

"And there is the other flaw. IT STINKS LIKE HIGH HELL!!!"
Front Gate
Thorn Posted Jan 6, 2006
"And, besides that,- I still don't know any "fancy" spells yet..."
~s Lady Shaylar assigned were for "basics."~

*Ecg has the two "stink-gollums disintegrate back into their component parts.*
"This is the part where I sit down to sulk and you nod, isn't it?"
~D@*n... and here I thought I was -onto something-...~

"Oh. Makes sense. I only know the mid ones like Firestorm, and Big Wave. I need to ask her later what it takes to become the next level."

[Ecg Unagi]: "Do you think there is anything I could do to convince teach I might be "worth" showing how to do things?"
*broods a bit*
Front Gate
Thorn Posted Jan 6, 2006
*sulk-sulk.*
*covers nose while he conjures up some water to rinse away the bog muck...*
"I think I ought to call those stink golems, ...you were right."

"I could teach you. That is what she asked me to do, you know."

[Ecg]: "Wait. I remember her telling Halimar, it was possible to make them out of other things... and of other shapes besides a "person" so how about?"
*tries to make a fire-centipede, which is too small and fizzles out*
*tries it again*
*Tries it more/harder*
"A(y)aaah."
}Poof!{
This time the centipede is larger, it makes a charred and crackling sort of noise... instead of a flesh-and-bones sort of growl (with each section turning in revolutions.
"Kylen-Jake, Is that okay?"
*Has it dissipate.*

Thorn Posted Jan 6, 2006
[Ecg]: "Oh."
*shrugs*
"Kylen, how does thee get the element creatures,- to hold (materially in place), longer?"
Front Gate
Thorn Posted Jan 6, 2006
[Ecg]: *Wonders if he will ever get acknowledgeably "skilled" at anything.*
*Hrmm... Fwrr (and other "sullen thought noises").*

[Ecg]: *Hasn't the strangest idea as to why,- but he goes up and offers Elwyn's salamander part to a piece of *

*salamander shies away and draws back, looks at the morsel strangely with its head cocked to one side, clamours down to its mistress's hand, considers, sniffs a bit at the wafting scent and extends its neck while wrapping the tail tightly about Elwyn's finger*
Owch! *Elwyn is startled out of her (deep? ) thoughts*
