I have just noticed that he had a credit in an early episode of the US television show M*A*S*H. This the day after I read this article.

Yes indeed Marv. He played himself, sort of... The singing troubadour in Korea or something...wasn't really very good though. I mainly like it because it's nice to see one of my favourite artists on T.V.
The things he did for the the BBC the last ten years are way more interesting...

BTW : you did not say whether you know his music but I suppose you do...?
