Everton are currently 17th in the premier league, and we have lost five sod our last six matches,
So obviously we've got three players in the current England squad. I can't remember the last time we had three players in t he England squad. Baines and Jagielka have both been in the squad for a while now, but Jack Rodwell has now been called up to join them, I won't be holding my breath fir hibbert, Oman or Neville getting called up.

I've discovered that we had four players in the squad for the 1986 world cup (Gary Stevens, Gary Lineker, Trevor Steven, Peter Reid). Given that in 1986 we were runner sup in the league and cup, having won the league/cup winners cup double the previous year, it's quite understandable that we would have a few players in the national squad. very different times to now.
