Sorry I've been a bit slow responding - I've been on holiday for most of this week. I like what you've written for the LoW piece, even if the footnotes look longer than the article! Perhaps, to show the positive side of the League, you could go on to talk about how LoW clubs have fared in Europe? I seem to remember one or two memorable performances along the way.
Also, one pedantic factual point: I think that as well as the three Welsh Nationwide League clubs, Merthyr Tydfil were granted exemption from the compulsory call-up to join the LoW at its inauguration, as they were then in the Conference and were seen as having a chance of achieving League status. Shame it didn't work out that way!
Hope that helps - good luck!

You're right, Merthyr's exemption ran out at the beginning of the season.
Wow, you truly are a font of all footballing knowledge
BTW did you notice the thread in your name? Seems some people took offence for you, in your absence ...

Thanks for the compliment! Merthyr are still in the Beazer Homes League - does this mean the LoW have conceded that they can't force clubs to join?
And no, I didn't see a thread in my name!
Where is it?

Merthyr play in the Doc Martens league (same division as Newport County) and I think the FAW decided another lengthy court battle wasn't worth the hassle!
Mind you, I have heard strong rumours this season linking Merthyr with a return to Wales.
(Interesting anorak fact - Merthyr Tydfil FC's Chief Exec is the famous egg-chaser; Gareth Edwards' son!
The thread is on the Football Talking Point entry entitled - A subject close to Ormondroyd's heart ... enjoy

I've made some changes on the League of Wales entry, if you'd care to have apeek!

More changes have been made and your comments, as ever, are gratefully accepted.
BTW you are seriously beginning to fall behind in the Footy Quiz league table (a la Brat'fud City )

Well done! That League of Wales Entry looks great to me now - I think you've covered everything, and it reads very well. I'd send it on for Peer Review if I were you!
As for the quiz league - curses, a week away and suddenly I'm a relegation candidate! I must admit, though, question 10 beats me.
Ah well, I've subscribed to the page now so I'll have a stab at all future questions!
