Adventures in a portable hell

It is a strange thing that my ancestors were farmers.
I am not.
What separates them from me?
A single generation, for the most part.
My parents.
Now, what if their destiny was to be on the farm, also?
And they avoided it.
What if my destiny was to be on a farm? I was diverted, then, weren't I?

Most of what we hear about Asperger's people is from the urban areas. What if Aspies were designed to be farmers? What if it is a genetic compulsion to concentrate for years on a single subject, undistracted by automobiles, poorly trained clerks and abstract political agendas?
