Did you forget to mention the Salem Witch Trials, or is that a forbidden subject with the local city council? When most Americans (with an education -- which comes out to around 3% of the population) think of Salem, they think of the witch trials and Hester Prynne and rocks and boards and eyeballs coming out and Hawthorne and stuff and lack of properly placed commas...

Yeah, I'm from England and the subject of the witch hunts was the first thing that sprang to mind when I saw the word "Salem".
P.S. "badly-placed commas" - like your style
