Here's something I bet you didn't know (and probably didn't need to...)
Napoloen dresses to the right.
If you don't understand, ask your mother (no, actually, ask your father).
I'm very sorry. The pictures in my History textbook are just too acurate.

I had no idea Napoleon had any nude portraits done. No doubt some 18-19thC paparazzo portraitist was sitting on a nearby hill with a canvas, an easel and a spyglass while Boney paraded around his Waterloo...

Nope, it was actually a legitimate painting by a French chappie called François Bouchout of when Napoleon 'seized power'....no trashy magazines in THOSE times...or not...

Don't you believe it, mate! All those big famous painted nudes usually ended up in some toff's 'private chambers'. That's why classical themes were so popular, lots of flimsy togas and general naughtiness.

Yeah....and Lady Liberty running around on battlefields topless!
Really!

Or men with very tight pants raping and pillaging all of the poor defenceless villagers, while the toppless women run around wearing silly hats waving the tricolour flag screaming "Oh, tight-panted-men, stop it, stop it or I shall beat you with this silly hat, and then we shall have to have hot, gratuitous sex upon this flag, and then you shall have to beat me, you big, strong, revealing-pant-wearing-men..."
I'm sorry, I think I got a bit carried away.......

If I remember that painting correctly (and of course, I do), the dead (or dying) guy that Liberté is striding over isn't wearing any pants. (Hey, what a coincidence! )

Depends what constitutes a natural death with one's pants around one's ankles. Like getting 'caught' in the vacuum cleaner...
