Indeed.
And we should do commemorative smileys. To mark the passing of Jimi Hendrix, Mark Bolan, Connor Clapton, John Lennon, Lynryd Skynryd etc. Even Kurt Cobain if you're feeling like a skid.
OK ok maybe I'm going to far. But I love special simlies!

I don't mind the plain ones though...
(Mustn't give them a complex or they'll start acting like Freaks)

Oh don't get me wrong, the plain ones are nice. But you always get the cold turkey when the festive smilies disapppear.
I remember when I first joined h2g2. I found the smilies facsinating.
WAAAAAAH!! I WANNA JOIN!!

Why not?
I think you're a perfect candidate.
I like the faces too.
And I don't care what people think of me. I decorate my own clothes, they're great, I have this one pair of trousers with a fur hand on the bum, I wore them once when I came back to England for a visit, to Aldershot (rough town, I used to live there, full of crackheads) anyway, I got to Aldershot station and these blokes, there were about three of them, started cat-calling, You know "oh, is that where you liked to be touched, yeah,","'ere, let me 'ave a go, dalin'" and various other things. So, I just kept walking, don't give them the satisfaction of turning around to look at them, see. Well, they caught up with me and one of the blokes stood infront of me, in my way. I looked him straight in the eye and started to speak in a torrent of French, something along the lines of, "sorry I'm here on holiday, bitch, the train has gone, shit, another plate of chips, idiot, no more shoes and socks, out of my way please." Of course I said it very fast, and in a very annoyed manner, thus making it sound quite impatient and insulting.
"oh, she's french" said one,
"pardonne" said the 2nd
"very nicey trousers" said the 3rd, indicating my trousers with his hand
They started to walk away
"she's bloody french" one
"yeah" 2
"shame" 3
"what, holiday romance,eh" 1
"voolay voo cooshay aveck mwa se swar, hahahaha" 2
"well.........."
At this point I caught up with them, and walked past saying,
"I'm so very glad you like the trousers, gentlemen, I made them myself, and, I'm sorry, but I'm already taken, have a nice weekend!"
In impeccable English, Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
You see, I don't care.
I want to join too please, where do I sign?

Halloooo!
Boy! Do I ever qualify! If you think Pippa's a freak you should see her mother! 42 years old and wears a white bra with black see-thru top and cool biker leathers on New Year's eve! Yeah! Tells Pharmacist - in full public - what gorgeous eyes he's got - in Fluent French, I might add! And she speaks Italian too - is there no end to this woman's talents?! Mad, I tell you! Sings out loud, anywhere, any time! 4 foot ten mini pack of nutty dynamite! Purple hair, (well, ok, just the front bit - and it IS growing out - but I'll have it done again, if you insist!) Yes, it's meeee!I think I qualify, because I have had a lot of practice being a freak! Take the rougher road - it's less crowded!
Please can I may I join too, please?

Whoa! Ingediants for metal-mutha here!
Aren't I just so chuffed to be able to mingle with these sorts. I mean, my acheivmants don't stand up to much. I made my ear bleed a bit listening to Iron Maiden, and last night I got serious ear-ache after continuously listening to The Offspring and The Sex Pistols. 1 hour plus of way too loud music!

Because you're a h2g2 freak!
I wonder what percentage of postings here are from me? Don't worry, I just hate leaving conversations answered.
And think of the ignominy of letting someone else have the last word! Fascists!
