if you call slagging off wales remotely amusing then may i suggest that we start making fun of the English.

I've just realised that last comment could be taken the wrong way. It wasn't meant to cause offence. I'm just trying to point out that the majority of Welsh jokes are not intended to be offensive, and perhaps a good way for Welsh people to get there own back, rather than taking it to heart, would be to make up similar jokes about the English.

I only saw it just now, it didn't take me 10 weeks to reply. If I'm so thick it must say something about Welsh universities then, cos I'm doing a degree in one. I honestly wasn't trying to offend anyone, but clearly the chip on your shoulder is so big that you automatically assume anyone who is English hates you. All I said was that perhaps a good response to anti-Welsh jokes would be anti-English jokes. I don't see how you take that as some sort of attack on Welsh people, it certainly wasn't meant to be. But if, as appears to be the case, you've just decided to object to everything I say because I'm English, then you're as guilty of bigotry as those who attack the Welsh.

ok, let's see, so far there is something about sheep, slagging off wales, english humour, the inability of either to come to an understanding of what is truley meant by a statement and me who for the record is completely lost
i am from america where we have brought jokes aimed towards another person to a high art.....goodness, you name it we have a joke for it, though for the most part we all understand it is just that, a joke and not meant to be taken seriously....call it a good way to intertain ourselves. Bazooka, when it comes to wales you have to admit not many people know much about it past the sheep and rolling hills of green pastures and as for england well, there we have a stiff queen who is trying her best to keep composure while her family does its best to stay on the cover of all the slum magazines they possibly can. as for the US, think about it....i could go on forever and ever about my dear old home......say the south, first thing that comes to mind is a hillbilly redneck chewing tobacco missing most of their teeth.....the north, stiff fast talking salesmen, the west.....surfers and valley people....the east, well they are in a class all their own
so why not shake hands make up and see the humour in life, either that or we can get all wrapped up in political correctness and never be able to open our mouths again for fear of upsetting someone who has no humour......
