Opti, the second quote you've attributed to JD, I don't believe it's his. He says himself his father says it often. I don't know who said it originally, but it's become what I'd call an 'old saying'.


I think GB's upset because the corrections she suggested you said you know about - she must be wondering why you didn't correct them before submitting.

Been a while since I posted in this forum, so good to know it's still being used.

Just a couple of queries:

I think that this was such a big and unusual story that it needs more explanation. Your entry makes it sound like people went off him because he was called gay, when in fact it was a lot to do with him complaining being called gay ruined his reputation that lost him support, even though it was claimed he was suing because of the implication that he had been lying, rather than the actual gay bit.

I think you need to do a bit more research on this aspect of your entry - it might not seem much but if it collapsed his career for a while I think it's important. I'm not sure I've explained it very well.
