1 platter of large pancakes with melted NZ butter, castor sugar and fresh lemon juice

1 platter of large pancakes with melted NZ butter, home-made raspberry jam and whipped fresh cream

1 platter of large pancakes with melted NZ butter, rum & raisin icecream, chocolate sauce and Kahlua

Ohhhh... me loves choccie pancakes... ~grin~... me gets someone to make me a pancake... and then me gets a small bar of galaxy milk choccie... ~grin~... me cuts the pieces of choccie in half... lie them down the centre of the pancake... and then rolls it up... ~Huge grin of remembrance~... You have to wait a few seconds for the choccie to melt and then you eat... ohhhhhhhhhh... ~Greebo drools~

My favourite is it take a vaigly straight banana and roll it down the middle.

Hmmm... Putting the pancakes aside for a bit: I want a banana split; a traditional banana split; and I want one now!!

Made with the banana split fully down the middle, 3 scoops of vanilla ice-cream in between, a generous smothering of hot chocolate sauce, thick whipped cream piped into the gaps, a mixture of crushed walnuts and roast peanuts sprinkled on top, a glace cherry for each scoop, and 2 triangles of wafer speared into the top... !!!

Another scrumptious variation on this, is the banana split Mr Whippy makes with soft snow-freeze ice-cream... !!!

Greebo, pass the tissue back. I think I need it now.

my favourite takes a while.

take a vanilla pod, put it in a jar, fill the jar with sugar. close lid tightly. leave in a cool dark place for 3 months.

use the vanilla sugar + butter + lemon juice

of course, if you are organised, you always have vanilla sugar to hand

But that takes 3 months planning. I rarely even do 3 hours planning.

well, if you get it ready now then in 3 months time you won't even notice the planing

the sugar is great for loads of things too

I'm going to have to bin ICQ, it plays havoc with my computer.

how, exactly? I mean, what does it do?

It locks up every now and again and has started to crash the computer too.

I don't have problems like that with ICQ on my iMac G3 333Mhz. That statement however, isn't intended to start a "my-one-is-better-than-yours" flamewar over computer platforms. What I do have problems with is my Netscape/AOL Instant Messenger which keeps wanting to go queue-jumping on start up and locks up everything. I've tried configuring AOL IM to not do this. Sometimes it still does it.

Anyway, back to the topic of food and receipes etc. try this URL out and have a good poke about in its depths...
