There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

That's the way smiley - ok When the two new ones are ready, just submit them the way that you did this one.

Hello. I am having a problem with two of my links. Primetime and Saga. They both start with https instead of the usual http and I wonder if thats the problem. They both work when I type them into the adress bar. Help wanted please. Pamela.

I am Donald Sutherland

https indicates that it is a secure site. Try leaving out the https and just using the www bit. http is the default protocol and will be inserted by default if there is no protocol indicated.

This appears to work:

Hello Donald. Thanks for reply but it didn't work for me. Without the S I can get to the Saga website, but then I get a 'can't find that page' message. If you are the same Donald that replied to me on a Bush Internet User Help page, you will know that Set-Top boxes have problems with secure sites. If I can't sort it out I will change the links to the Pirate Radio Hall of Fame . The Dj biogs there have links to the stations. Pamela.

Hi Pamela. Takes me back to my school days when I would tune around the pirates from my home in Cambridge. Reception was good, presumably because there is no high ground between Cambridge and the North Sea, good also for picking up the Dutch medium wave stations. I have collected much in the way of recordings, inparticular, from the period March 1964 to March 1968, together with records, tapes, videos, books etc. I subscribe to Radio Review magazine which is where I came across you. I have read Pop Went The Pirates by Keith Skues (all 500 odd pages!) and thought I ought to mention that Radio 1 commenced on 30th September 1967 not 3rd September. As you probably know, if there is anything you need to know about the history of offshore radio then the chances are that you will be able to find the information using the 28 page index of that book. Johnnie Walker's Radio 2 show is my favourite listening. Best wishes from Clive Bilton.

Hi Clive. Thanks for the message. It's good to hear from another reader of Radio Review. I was in Wales in the 1960's (I still am ) but I could hear Radio Caroline and Radio London fairly well most evenings. I heard Johnnie Walker then and I still listen to him. I couldn't hear many of the 70's and 80's broadcasts here, as they were not so powerful.
I will sort the date out.
Best Wishes from Pamela.
