I tried to make this posting a couple of days ago - and obviously did something wrong. It seems H2G2 doesn't quite work like BBC Devon Sense of Place.
Anyhow....
This is to let you know that there is a website that is being set-up that gives an introduction to Devon's Celtic languages.
It includes a brief introduction to the ancient British language of the southwest as it was probably spoken in the seventh century. The precursor to both modern Cornish and Breton languages - and it would probably have been the language of legendary King Arthur.
There is also a brief introduction to Cornish, to Devon placenames, and to some ancient Devon saints. It also links to a discussion group for those with questions or who might want to give the language a try.
