Concorde Affects Lectures: Fact
Demon Drawer Started conversation Jan 4, 2000
While I was at Kingston University for of those years I had a lecture in a largish lecture hall with a West facing large array of windows (that is facing Heathrow). These lectures ran from 1000 - 1100 but guarenteed at 1030 approx. the sub-sonic noice of Concorde taking off and turning just west of us would render the lecturer inaudible for about 25 seconds. It would have been a good location for plane spotters though.
It was probably those vital 25 secs of information that were the difference in me getting a third as opposed to a 2:2
