Written while the bulbs in the mud,
starting with the first snowdrops of the new year,
and lasting through the dying tulips,
met the brilliant comet,
which looked a bit like this!,
a few years back. It was real.


Hale~Bopp Bulbs

Snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils,
Tall tulips in turn greet comet!.
Snowball fall whipped~snapped round the sun.
Northeast sunrise!. Northwest sunset.

Earth orbits tipped~topped on a run.
Skies clear, surprise!. Clouds close, windwet.

Petals peek, sneak open, grin much,
Life in mud such, as we forget.
