Sometimes things happen that nudge us in the right direction. Like reopening the Circle compound. The past few days I've felt a bit at loose ends, not happy with my online life yet not wanting to walk away from it completely. I've been sort of looking for not only a safe haven, but for something to spark my interest again. And it was right under my nose the entire time.
I've been trying to figure out why this place didn't take off the way I had hoped. I've come to the conclusiopn that it appeals to too narrow a group of people. After thinking about this, I've come to the conclusion that this is an absolute boon. So I have decided to use this relative obscurity to do my journaling from now on. Someplace where every single word won't have to be measured.
Friends are certainly welcome in the compound, but I'm not going to move out again just because it gets quiet. I'm used to living alone and rather enjoy it.
So, the garden is a bit ratty looking, the dishes need washed and the trash taken out. It will take a bit of work to make the compound liveable again, but I believe it will be well worth the effort.
If you're reading this, then you must be a friend. So, welcome back. I'll have your room ready in a jiffy.

*ignores dishes*
*ignores trash*
*steps outside, lies down, chews on a straw, watches the clouds high above while trying to see figures*
Look - that's surely a seelion! *points*

It's nice to have some company in here again.
This is too pretty a place not to share with friends.
But do keep the noise down. Cloud watchers can be so distracting. (just kidding)

Ducklings! That's it! We need a family of ducks. I've always loved having them waddling about the place and going with me for a swim in the pond. And they'll keep the otter company.

The otter has been here for a long time. He's a bit of a clown sometimes, but I enjoy him. There's a natural spring that feeds the pond, so the water there is always fresh and cold. Basil, that's the otter, likes to spend time in the pond. The conservation department keeps it stocked with fish for him.

I thought this was the cloud-watching group?
Of course in dismal cloudy weather one would probably want the weather to be a little 'otter
