...so if the circles are reversed on either side of the world, what happens between Tropics, where the sun alternates between north and south at midday... depending on the time of year...?

Well my best guess (given most of the stuff in the article I worked out first, then found 'confirmed' in a couple of articles) is that when the sun is North, Deosil is clockwise, when it's South, Deosil is anti-clockwise and when it's overhead Deosil would be whatever you're comfortable with.
I'm not sure but I think with it overhead could be an interesting time, magickally. I'm trying to decide if it's more potent or less potent then

You'll need to get a Government grant to study these things in two key locations. On the equator, and somewhere on the other side of the world. Purely for research, and not because you'll get a brilliant suntan.
