You can't say that Banksy isn't relevant. He does lovely pieces of art in some really ambitious places. If anyone has seen his book they'll see what I mean. I once saw one of his pieces on a London street as I was passing. It was a rat, skulking as if waiting to ambush someone. This was at about the time that a 'bad men in dark alleys' scare was underway.

i've seen that book of Banksy's work and think it is quite amazing,which leads me to ask the question is"modern art"really art

Some modern art is not, but I dn't think you could class what Banksy does as modern art (if that's what you meant).
