Right, here goes a not so long story....
Zimphobia is writing a entrey about the races Warhammer 40,000. Now me and Purple Moose, being terribly nice people, agreed to help him write some of the stuff.
Zim then goes and puts our IDs into the box and, YEY we're authors of the entry but... we cant edit it.
Basicly, is there anyway we can get to edit it, or is ZIM going to have to add all our stuff and learn ML?

Hi there
Only the person who first creates an entry has editing rights to it. I don't think that there's a way you can get to edit it.
My best suggestion for the moment is that either, as you suggest, Zim learns GuideML, or that either you or Purple Moose writes out the guideml in another entry, that Zim can copy it from using the Test feature (basically, putting http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/Test123456 gives you the guideml for http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A123456 where A123456 is the entry with the guideml you want to copy.)
Hope this helps! It's possible someone else might come up with another solution, though.

Hi
I have a possible solution. J'au-æmne is absolutely right, only the person who creates the original entry gets editing rights and this is a security feature. However, if you ask me very nicely I can change the Researcher credited as the Editor on an entry. So I could move the entry to Eggy or Purple Moose. However I would need Zimphobia's permission by email.
Would that be a possible solution? I would be willing to do it as long as you could assure me I wouldn't get swamped with requests from all over the Community!
Let me know what you think.
