Baboon, Gosho gave you some very relevant advice, I think it would only be polite of you to address him nicely.

We may not have all the answers, funnily enough it's not our job, we are volunteers. However there are many people on this site who do know a lot about this sort of thing.

As to your question, if you're prepared to be civil rather than writing us all off we might be able to help you.

When you say it effects the sound, does it make music you're playing jump or does it just intervene every now and then with sound clips?

What other problems have you been experiencing?

Have you tried looking on the Yahoo messenger website?

well when i say it affect my sound if i press mute in the instant messenger box it also mutes my sound for playing cds .And another problem i have the inviroment on there makes the instant messenger box twice as big .And im sorry for being abrupt.And no i havent checked on their website

It's very likely that you only have one mute setting for the whole PC. Think about it. Most people would want to stop the whole thing for a while when listening to something else. You may have individual sound settings for some things though. You should look for those and, if possible, turn the volume for messenger down or its sound device off while leaving other things alone.
