Heya. Just swung by to read about Hawaii. In 1970, I was born at Ewa Beach. I only lived there until I was two, however. I've yet to make it back out there, but I spent most of my early life with various family in California. I miss the Pacific a lot, but I guess being in the mountains of Norther New Mexico ain't too bad either. Better than LA anyway. Heh. Mabye someday I'll get out to Hawaii, Oahu, Maui ... thanks for writing about it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. smiley - smiley

I had the privilege of living there for a few years while I served in the Navy, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, as I think this article reflects. I was originally going to do something on the whole island chain, but decided against it. I visited Maui a few times, and was prepared to do a good job on it, but I never had the opportunity to go to the Big Island, or any of the others, and so I figured the rest of it as going to be just crap I pulled out of an encyclopedia. I just moved away about 9 months ago, and have been living in the Inland Empire, California (cough cough) ever since. Still, my little brother followed in my footsteps, and he's living large on Oahu right now. Gives me a convenient excuse to visit, and a place to crash while I'm there. He'd better get to working on his dive qualification, though . smiley - winkeye
