Hmmm... me did see the typo in the subject line... but Awix my good and dear chum... me thought we were close enough friends to let us both have a snigger at my appalling spelling... so me left it in... ~grin~... double hmmm... though me supposes everyone else who reads this can now see my appalling spelling as well... ~bigger grin~... well they won't be learning anything new me guesses... hey ho...
'Stop this rambling Greebo'...
Sorry Awix... ~sigh~
Anyway... what me was trying to announce with my subject is that me has seen a total of thirteen of your listed films... though the final Lord of the Rings (no 14) will be seen shortly... and Phone Booth was not seen until last night... which I really enjoyed... that poor Pizza Delivery Bloke was REALLY having a bad day...
No doubt I will probably see a few more in the upcoming year... via DVD or Video... Me won't bore you with the complete list of films... as it might give you a clue to my mental health that is best left in a small locked cupboard somewhere in Belgium...
'Greebo!!!!'
Oppsss... sorry Awix... will me ever change???? ~hugs~
Keep up the jolly good reviewing work... look forward to this years words of wisdom with bated breath!!!... Or at least breath that has a faint aroma of cooked dough and sugarey overtones... ~wink~
Love Greebs...xx

You really don't want to broach the subject of what my breath smells like, Greebs...
Funnily enough I have seen all but two of the films reviewed this year. I have seen four of them at least twice and already have two of them on vid.
Phone Booth hasn't really taken root in my memory, which may be down to it being a slightly inconsequential film, but has also I suspect something to do with it being the least memorable section of a rather peculiar day.
I was all set to do a double-header next week of Last Samurai and Lost in Translation (films with, on the face of it, quite similar themes), speculating in particular on what would happen if the two films had swapped lead actors. But as LiT has been declared an art-house film that's that idea stuffed. Hey ho...

really really want to see Lost in Translation.
Would like not to go within ten million miles of Last Samurai (Tom Cruise yuk) but do occasionally have to walk past the cinema.

The local eight-screen has half its theatres devoted to showing the same film! Smaller pictures don't stand a chance. These three-hours-plus blockbusters are by no means a wholly positive thing.
I'm not going to see Last Samurai for the Cruiser, I'm going because there's a significant chunk of me that's never got over the first time I saw Seven Samurai... or Yojimbo... or Ran...
