U8252408, I just dropped on this researcher, Aloysia, who doesn't seem to have an ACE welcome.
As a matter of interest (please excuse me but I suffer from a terminal case of 'need-to-know' syndrome) is the list of 'Who's online' a joint list of all the registered BBC users, rather than just h2g2?

Thanks for that. According to the data she signed up for a DNA message board in 2007 and has never posted to h2g2 and is not subscribed to any of the conversations.

It is rather perplexing, or I might just be dense. I was registered on the BBC message boards a long while back, for things like POV, but couldn't see that I had a PS till I signed up for h2g2.
Also, when you look at the thousand or so people on the *who's online* list, only a very few of them seem to be actual hootoo users. I do expect that a lot of the list are less noisy than me, and are here to read and generally act in a polite and seemly fashion, but it does give the impression that the site is thronging with users, whereas there are probably only hundreds, rather than thousands of people who communicate on a regular basis within h2g2, or that keep the EG and 
going.
I keep wandering into bits of hootoo that are covered with cobwebs and 
and dust sheets.
