Hi Peta! I was wondering what your opinion is on the ace team jumping all over new researchers and welcoming them all at once. I know some of us think we might scare off newbies by sending them too many greetings at once.
Personally, I think they'll appreciate the attention, but in the end it depends on the individual newbie. What do you think?

This could be a problem with some Researchers. We should have some kind of informal code as to how many greetings we should pile onto someone. Maybe we should only allow one or two ACEs to greet each Researcher, to keep it low-key and friendly, rather than a festival of over-enthusiastic back-slapping (or this might not be the most appropriate metaphor )

Uhm.. My answer to this comes from " the Social Anarchist " ... new yesterday (in some parts of the world ):
"Well, I must admit pleasant surprise. Not even an hour into my research career, and already I have three folks greeting me.
Gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. "

Eccentrica Gallumbits (who is currently NOT out of business as many rumours have claimed) NO ONE IS TALKING TO ME!

Heh.. But we are now and she doesn't seem to like what we're saying. Haven't been there yet today, though.
