I don't think there's any chance of going for a record since we all(?) had to do ACEing tests on a certain italic's secret identity. Are we allowed to exclude that case from this record attempt?

Just for the record. I'm not an ACE, and have only been here since November 2002. I kind-of ACEd Snowman (U26426) who has been here since the second day of h2g2 (so he says, and his U-number does seem to imply it) because there were no ACEs when he registered, and he felt left out.

oh SEF you had to spoil it......nah..Abi's alias page not included..and that's fairly recent..doing the ACEing on Abi's alias account..I think it's a good idea though..wouldn't hurt wannabe Gurus to be tested..see if they have 'The Knowledge'....

A more formal guru test has already been proposed and officially rejected quite recently. The only part of the suggestions which might be adopted is that prospective Gurus should post the links to examples of their U295 work onto their volunteer thread in order to make it easier for italics (eg Mina) to track and assess them.

Yeah. I think Mina's current idea for prospective Gurus is a good one: just post enough responses to questions on <./>MP295</.> and then receive your badge. Excellent test, I think.
