HELP!!!!!!
The number of emails I was reciveing from the ace group pushed my mail account over its daily limit for several consecutive days.
I have subsiquently arranged the limit to be updated to 150 emails a day... so that HOPEFULLY is enough.
The problem now is that Yahoo groups think my account is bouncing ... and it shouldnt be any more.
Is there anything that anyone can do to reactivate this. Until then I can not post in the forum

You may need Peta, Natalie or Abi then as they are the group moderators. I can't see any advanced settings to tweak.

PS You are not showing up in the membership list, although I can still see your previous messages to the group. I don't know whether using your Yahoo-protected email address to send you a message directly rather than to the whole group would then make Yahoo start believing in you again.

this is gonna sound really stupid but did you dump the trash?, i got 'full' last week and realised it was cos i had a trash can of 500 plus emails and after i emptied it then it was ok again. the other thing you could do would be to set your email preferences to daily digest - once you can get into it again of course. not so good as direct emails but if it stops your a/c going mad then it may help.

me no techie
you are listed in the group membership under bouncing. once your emails stop bouncing then you should be able to mail the group again ok. yahoo does this to protect itself from unused or dead accounts.
If your trash is empty then complain to yahoo as i think it is them

Well my mail forwarding service was limitted to recieving 25 messages a day a short while ago, and the forum was sufficiently busy to push me over that for a couple of successive days. So at personal expense I have upped my limit to 150 forwarded emails a day. (Nothing sits in the account they just get forwarded.)
Now, I am getting messages from other BBC places (particularly news updates, celebdaq) but am still free to get in excess of 100 emails a day from the forum. (PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS ENOUGH).
I think Peta or Abi or someone is going to need to do something. I will leave worrying about it until the guys have had a chance to check out this thread.
Thans SEF thanks Mort. Want a or ? I think I need one right now

Have you tried switching your ACE-group account to receive emails in digest mode? This means that the group sends out one email a day that contains the contents of all the emails posted to the group in the last 24 hours...
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/h2g2Aces/join
should be where you can change your settings. Just log in with your Yahoo! id and switch from "individual emails" to "daily digest".
Hope that helps!

Unfortunately Hathornefer may need to get into Yahoo in order to do that! I was able to do it for Mr.Manda in the bugfinders group the first time round because we all had moderator privileges. I can't mess with other people's settings otherwise. Well, not unless I'm very naughty - and I don't want to risk breaking the Yahoo ACE group!

Aha, although I do remember when I had a bouncing account on the egroup (as it was then) owl2000, I could still get in to change my settings.
I am the group owner for that, also, and I know that owners/moderators do have permission to alter people's email delivery so one of the italics will be able to fix it.

Ooh, what fun. The very idea of an owl with a bouncing account brings up all sorts of imagery. Permission to bounce uncontrollably, sir, and say woo-hoo a few times?

You obviously never had "Klik & Play" as a kid.
The owl sprite just sat there blinking, but if one wanted to use it as a player character, it would just bounce around the screen without flapping its wings. Guaranteed to make _everyone_ in the room roll around on the floor.
