Pedantic point.
We in the UK are on GMT Della, unlike most of Europe. It's 18.41 pm here as I post.
I think only Ireland and Portugal are on GMT as well. Unless anyone knows better!

Hi Reefgirl,
I do believe it is something azahar mentioned in her posting at 536, although she did say no one considers Arnold a Troll.
Arnold then asked a question at 537 about Trolls, unfortunately no one was around to answer him..

Yeah, sorry about that, since I mentioned trolls in my post. And then wasn't here to answer arnold's questions.
Nah, of course it's nothing to do with you, arnold, I was saying how great it was that people didn't react to you in this manner after you posted a bit of rambling stuff . . .
Anyhow, arnold, if I'm not always online and replying to posts on threads - like I said to you before, even though my *eyes* are on, I'm not always in front of the computer - you can always leave a message for me on our thread, okay?, and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm back here and more or less functioning. Promise.

Arnold, huh? What *do* you mean?
You're correct, redpeck, I realised that while walking up the road just a while back.

Same here, i have been watching "The Full Monty" in French, which was hilarious! But my eyes stay on 'cos i am too damn lazy to turn the computer off once it goes on whenever i get up. Same with MSN instant messaging, i appear to be "busy" all the time, quite often i am, sometimes i'm not, but figure that's better than "appear offline".
Anold, the point az was making is that you are NOT a troll! You do sometimes post when pi**ed, but hell, most of us are guilty of that quite often! Many folks including myself, use hootoo as a way of relaxing before going to bed.
The time differences are just "one of those things"; doubt the world is going to adjust time zones for the sake of hootoo! It works well for insomniacs like me, i often get to talk to my mates in USA & Oz at what would be regarded by "normal" people as very odd times at this end.
As for Jimster chucking this idea at us just to stir things up, i am disappointed, i would have thought there were enough disputes & squabbling going on at the moment & a policy of "calm down folks, let's try & be " would have been more appropriate right now.

What an amazingly interesting thread. It has taken me some time to read through all the 550 odd posts and consider the thoughts and ideas in each one. I have experienced emotions from anger, frustration and indifference through to sadness, joy and laughter. That's the uniqueness of HooToo that I enjoy so much.
The term 'community' has been used on numerous occasions. If we are to consider ourselves as such, we have to understand that certain members of a community do not always perform to the protocols the majority do. Look in any village or town and you will regularly find people that annoy, upset and spoil the environment. Each and every one of us deals with these situations in our own way, as we see fit and utilising the skills that we learn throughout our lives. There is, however, no fixed solution. Problems present themselves and given time, often fade away. Some manifest for years and some are never resolved to satisfaction. But it doesn't stop the world turning and it rarely destroys a community. People learn to adapt, find alternative options and take that route. And the same will happen here.
If you take the opportunity to view HooToo as a 'mini world' and attempt to relate the goings-on to some of the many experiences in real life, I'm sure you'll be surprised how often you end up thinking how similar the two are. You'll naturally find an area in which you enjoy living, your particular community will evolve and difficulties that arise will dealt with accordingly.
The world isn't a perfect place. No more is HooToo, but if you choose to travel and seek out new exciting places, the pleasure of discovery outweighs the drudgery of everyday life and the minor/major irritations along the way merely becoming interesting anecdotes over a glass of wine a few years down the line.

Blimey, y'all been busy.
Arnold / An old - nice name. I used to live in Wiltshire which is, I believe, where the original moonrakers come from.
Jimster, if you didn't mean it, and I am glad to read that you didn't, then just what were your motives for posting *that* post?
Ben
