A Conversation for We Didn't Start the Fire - Project in Planning
Project-Finishing help required!
Mu Beta Started conversation May 10, 2004
My project on the events listed in Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire" is nearly finished!
Unfortunately, there are still a few topics on which I remain blissfully ignorant, and would really appreciate a handful of paragraphs (no more) on.
If anyone could find it within themselves to write 200-300 words on any of the following, please let me know:
- The King And I (the film)
- Vaccine (1952 polio in particular)
- Santayana Goodbye
- Alabama (particularly the problems in 1956)
- Kruschev
- Ole Miss (riots)
- British Politician Sex (Profumo affair)
- Birth control (pills)
- Punk Rock
- China's Under Martial Law
Many thanks in advance.

I can do Kruschev.
What kind of stuff are you after? And where do you want me to post it?

Hi there count me in .... Grey desk if you want to have a look at some of the things that are in the project so far I'm sure there's a link to it on my space, or in the post or master b will give you one.
all you have to do is as master b says click on contribute and write so many words on your chosen theme ( themes are as master b has written) and click post (or something to that affect perhaps its even add anyway its all quite clear).

Oh boy, Master B, I have a sense of deja vu here... Can I do Profumo???
I seem to recall causing a bit of a stir when I asked to do it before. If I'm in the soup again, please tell me and I'll creep away again like a little mouse

OK Master B. Give me a couple of days. And on your head be it if Mina gets her knickers in a twist

Master B
I just wrote a bit about Profumo, then went to check the right title (British Politician Sex) on your list of topics from the song - only to click on it and find it already has a write-up
I guess Mina wrote it after all eh? Unless you're trying to have 2 write-ups about each topic?
Off to find something to do with a page of blurb about Profumo and Christine Keeler

I am confused. I assume the page you refer to is A2110069, which most certainly does not have a link.

The page I'm referring to is: http://uploader.wuerzburg.de/gym-fkg/schule/fachber/englisch/joel/songtext.html
which, of course, isn't in h2g2. I didn't look at the address until then
I'm going to bow out of this project after submitting Profumo: it's too confusing for me
