A Conversation for Steve Coogan

This needs a LOT of work. First of all, it is not nearly long enough. I don't know a lot about Steve Coogan, but I am sure there is loads more stuff to say about him. You don't seem to mention his movies: I think he was in Wind in the Willows, Night at the Museum, Coffee and Cigarettes etc etc. Also, I hate all those footnotes. I think that everyone one of them could be used in the main text, so we won't have to keep scrolling down every five seconds. 17 footnotes is too many for such a short Entry.
Maybe remove this from PR so you can work on it some more, and submit it again later on? What do other people think?
By the way, welcome to Peer Review.

I agree, Wyatt.
With a little work this could be an entry on Steve Coogan and another on Rochdale. A little too much of the latter in this at the moment, but it's all interesting stuff, just needs sorting out.
We've had some great comedian biographies recently - take a look at these for some inspiration...

Yes, I think we need to know a bit more about his television output.
He was a bit more standard 'showbiz' when he started out. I think he did impressions for 'Spitting Image' and a regional programme called 'Granada Upfront.' Then there were the Paul and Pauline Calf years, Coogan's run (including Gareth 'I'm a tiger' Cheeseman) The Day Today, Alan Partridge, to name but a few... And his film career of course!

You will see that this thread will remain attached to your Guide Entry too.. This helps when you return to Peer Review, so others will know how much you have worked on it in the meantime
If you go to my PS, you will see a number of biographies, they may help you set out your article when you begin to add more to it

Thank you for not implying he could be a comedian...
It would be like saying The Lighthouse Family did n't sing in monotone...

i was actually considering aiming for something more rochdale like famous and full of funny people...or writing that he's like invisibly which is unwelcome and probably not that funny...mustn't have got the meaning across subtly enough...anyhow i will in the end...next draft coming up soon...the lighthouse family didn't come from rochdale did they...but they had a number one (hit) in australia...fancy that...
