A Conversation for Talking Point: What Do You Want For Christmas?

What we have decided to do this year is this
;-
Each person puts into a kitty what ever they think they would be able to afford to spend on each person - there is 10 of us, so if we think we could afford $30 per head we put in $300. On 30th November all the girls (the men arn't interested in doing the buying - typical!!) will meet for lunch and divide the money into 10 lots. We estimate it will work out at about $200 each. We also have to take a wish list for ourselves and our partner. Then we decide who will buy for who (we may go buying in a group) and each person will get something (or several things) on their list. If we make decent lists we will still be surprised on Christmas day but will also get something we want.
My list will be including A sunlounge, Nigella Lawson cookbook, Pamela Stevenson's latest book on Billy Connelly, maybe a DVD or two, and Champagne
